Palm Releases Rankings For All 124 FBS Schools

Computer guru Jerry Palm has posted his full college football rankings at CBSSports.com — from Team #1 (LSU, even without the Honey Badger) to poor, sad, Team #124 (Texas State and head coach Dennis Franchione).

For those of you just interested in seeing where your favorite SEC team ranks, here’s how his computer spit ‘em out:

1.  LSU

3.  Alabama

6.  Georgia

8.  South Carolina

11.  Arkansas

23.  Florida

26.  Auburn

47.  Mississippi State

63.  Missouri

64.  Texas A&M

68.  Tennessee

78.  Vanderbilt

92.  Kentucky

93.  Ole Miss

To put the rankings of UK and UM in perspective, Palm’s laptop says Eastern Michigan ranks #89.  Ouch.

@sports180 @MrSEC why is Tennessee a favorite over 25th ranked NC State if they are ranked so low?

So Mizzou is not only in the bottom 1/2 of the SEC... but also in the bottom 1/2 of the FBS as a whole??  A&M and Tenn aren't even top 60 teams either??  Serously, there are lots of teams ranked WAY ahead of them that would be considered "cup cakes" or "gimme" games if they actually played....

Keep in mind these are projections of teams. Lets see where it all shakes out in the end after the games are actually played.

@volpundit @sports180 @MrSEC Probably has Purdue in the top 10. He's a big Boilermaker sheep.

@MrSEC Didn't he have Okie St at #1 in his final 2011 poll? @jppalmCBS should stick to hoops.

So, I looked at Mizzou's current Conference schedule and what it would have been had we stayed in the Big 12. In the SEC, we will be facing 3 teams in the Top 10 --- #3, #6 and #8. Had we stayed in the Big 12, we would be facing only 1 team in the Top 10 (#4). We are facing 4 Top 25 teams in the SEC and would have had 4 Top 25 in the Big 12. No suprises that the SEC is more competitive and tougher. It will be fun. Go Mizzou!!!

@MoKelly1 I think that's a low ranking for both Mizzou and A&M. I know it is for UK

I hope you are right. Mizzou is really hyped for the Georgia game in week #2. I am thinking we will be 4-4 in Conference and 7-5 overall. It will be interesting to see where this places Mizzou in the rankings and what Bowl game it rates.

I realize I cannot put any stock in Mr. Palm's listing since both UK and Ole Miss would handle Eastern Michigan with ease.

 @ppbrittain

How can you possibly know that ?

@sanoyes I wonder what the line would be on either match up?  Of course anything could happen, like App St. beating Michigan, but I highly doubt EMU could hang for a full quarters with any SEC team.
