Ryan Buchanan believes in head coach Hugh Freeze’s offense at Ole Miss.
That’s one reason Buchanan, a quarterback from Jackson (Miss.) Prep High School, has committed to Ole Miss.
“There were a lot of factors,” Buchanan told the Jackson Clarion-Ledger. “One was the staff. They are passionate about it. I love Coach Freeze and I love the vision that Ole Miss has for the future and I want to be a part of that.”
Buchanan chose Ole Miss over Alabama, Florida and Mississippi State. Arkansas, North Carolina and Oklahoma State were other schools to offer a scholarship.
Buchanan doesn’t plan to reconsider his commitment to Ole Miss.
“I am 100 percent solid on it,” he said. “I prayed about it. Two weeks ago I wasn’t sure about where I was going. But I’m at peace about it now. I’m fully confident and not changing my decision.”
Freeze should be confident in the class he’s putting together for 2013. The Rebels have 12 commitments, including four players with a four-star rating from ESPNU on the five-star scale.
