Vols Commit Peters Will Visit Arkansas

Tennessee commit Otha Peters plans to take an official visit to Arkansas this weekend.

The linebacker from Covington (La.) High School told Govols247 that Arkansas is the only school he’s considering other than Tennessee.

“I’m just trying to see how it is, really,” Peters told the website. “I’m pretty convinced with Tennessee, but I just want to go see a different place.”

Rumors began to spread last week that Peters was unhappy with the idea of playing in a 3-4 defense under new Tennessee defensive coordinator Sal Sunseri. Peters quickly shot down that idea via twitter on Thursday.

“I love coach sal and I love the 3-4 so whoever is spreading rumors might as well stop I’mma vol for life!! #Tennessee”

Tennessee will hope Peters has the same opinion after his trip to Arkansas.

The Vols are also fighting to hold onto linebacker Dalton Santos from Van (Texas) High School. The nation’s top inside linebacker according to ESPN has been comitted to Tennessee since August but recently received a scholarship offer from Texas.

Santos will take an official visit to Athens this weekend.
