5. South Carolina — in a class move — has invited ex-quarterback Stephen Garcia to take part in the school’s Pro Day.

6. This fella’s 2012 pre-preseason Top 25 has five SEC teams in the Top 10 and the Cocks are at #7.

7. Tennessee fell 62-58 at Mississippi State last night, but the Vols continue to show improvement.

8. Today, Vandy’s James Franklin made the hires of George Barlow (defensive backs, defensive recruiting coordinator) and Josh Gattis (receivers, offensive recruiting coordinator) official.
