Quarterback Robinette Headed To Vanderbilt

Quarterback Patton Robinette has decided to attend Vanderbilt instead of North Carolina.

The quarterback from Maryville (Tenn.) High School appeared set on enrolling at North Carolina for the spring semester. But Robinette confirmed to the Knoxville News Sentinel that he’s leaving Chapel Hill to attend Vanderbilt.

How close was Robinette to attending North Carolina? He was sitting in freshman orientation on Sunday afternoon when he decided “it just didn’t feel right.”

Robinette is the first quarterback to join Vanderbilt’s 2012 class, which now has 20 commitments.
