Forward Jarnell Stokes from Memphis, Tenn., will decide soon if he wants to enroll in college in January.
Stokes, who’s considered the nation’s 11th-best basketball prospects by Rivals.com, is still considering Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Memphis. He has taken official visits to all five schools.
Stokes was ruled ineligible to play basketball his senior year after transferring from Central High School to Southwind High School. Stokes, who has already qualified to graduate high school, will decide soon if he will enroll in college next month.
“I’ve talked to my dad about it a lot,” Stokes told HawgSports.com. “He’s letting me choose on my own, but prayer and doing research to handle the decision has been his advice.”
Stokes, who took an official visit to Tennessee this weekend, still needs to decide which school he will attend. He insists he doesn’t have a favorite among the five schools he’s considering.
“I’m still down to five and I’m not leaning anywhere right now,” he told HawgSports. “A decision may be coming soon, but I’m not sure when yet.”
