Running Back Mobley Chooses Kentucky

Running back Dy’Shawn Mobley from Powell (Tenn.) High School has committed to Kentucky.

Powell coach Matt Lowe confirmed to MrSEC that Mobley gave his commitment to Kentucky head coach Joker Phillips on Monday night.

Mobley, who could also play linebacker in college, chose Kentucky over an offer from Toledo. He has also received interest from LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Clemson.

Mobley has taken two unofficial visits to Kentucky. He plans to take an official visit to Lexington after his senior season ends.

Mobley needs 384 rushing yards to break the single-season record (3,008) for the state of Tennessee set by former Tennessee running back Troy Fleming at Battle Ground Academy in Nashville in 1998.
