To those who’ve emailed us the link 50 times today, yes, we’ve seen the video of Gus Malzahn’s wife Kristi giving a bizarro interview. Everyone’s seen it. And if you somehow haven’t, here it is:
Do we believe that interview has anything to do with Malzahn’s name reportedly cooling at North Carolina? At Ole Miss? No, we do not.
We believe his non-Cam-Newton-led offense has something to do with his star fading a bit, but not this. If a guy can win, no one cares what he or his wife says. And here’s guessing Ms. Malzahn won’t be doing many more of these interviews in the future anyway.

Well, if I were UNC I would have dropped him due to his wife's interview. I just cannot imagine UNC would allow some fundamentalist coach on their campus...... they are smarter than that

The funniest part about the whole thing is how the preacher is just sitting there with that used car salesman smile like "WTF is she talking about?". Classic.
I hadn't seen it thanks for the repost. She's quirky for sure, but I've dated and met plenty of women who can't stop talking. Wasn't as bad as I had expected.

Apparently Mrs. Malzahn, from her personal Twitter account, recently started following the Chapel Hill, NC Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor's Office.
Dead giveaway right there. I'm not sure what she was thinking...
No wonder he spends so much time at the office.
Based on her reaction to Cam Newton, I'd say AU landed him for $250K with a little side of Kristi Malzahn.

So all of you think this hatchet job of an interview is legit. It starts by saying that it was pared down from a 30 minutes interview. Do you actually think they asked the questions that are flashed across the screen and this is her answers? Too funny. It's obvious that she is trying to be funny and at that she failed miserably, but to think this is anything other that something that was spliced together by some redneck bammer living in his mother's basement it ridiculous. This is something recruiters can tell parent to go watch and portray that as everything Auburn is about. It is sad that some of the weak-minded people in the world will take this as the gospel and disregard everything her and Gus have done for kids throughout the years.

I agree Dan.....she's just trying to be candid and funny and she got nailed by the splice and dice guy in his parent's basement. Yes, she's a bit of a wildcard....but that is why we love her! In what way would context help her statements about Cam seem less like she wasn't lusting after him in front of a room full of church soccer moms? Would context have helped her seem like a better mom? How about wife?

The questions that appeared on the screen acted as commentary from the maker of the video. But you have an agenda so I wouldn't expect you to recognize that.
Secondly, it's a 12 minute video which has the highlights of a 30 minute conversation....not exactly a blurb taken out of context.
Third, the original video that the highlights were spliced from has been removed. If the 30 minute version shows something completely different then why would anyone remove it? My bet is that there is some other crazy crap in there that this video maker didn't have time to splice.
Just accept that your OCs wife is nuts and go about your day.
