SEC Releases TV Schedule For November 5th

In two weeks, the SEC schedule will feature 11 teams in action.  But there’s no question what the big game of the day will be.

There’s a downside to CBS cutting a deal with ESPN to move the Alabama-LSU game into a primetime slot.  Each year CBS gets one night game as part of its SEC contract.  On that Saturday, all other SEC action is scheduled for early starts so as not to compete with the primetime broadcast.  But since ESPN (and CSS and FSN whom it has filtered games out to) already have night games on their schedules for November 5th, three SEC games will be opposite the Bruiser in Tuscaloosa: Arkansas versus South Carolina, Mississippi State versus Tennessee-Martin, and Tennessee versus Middle Tennessee State.

Below is the freshly-released television schedule for the Saturday after next (all times are Eastern):

Vanderbilt at Florida
12:21pm on SEC Network

New Mexico State at Georgia
12:30pm on CSS

Ole Miss at Kentucky
3:30pm on ESPNU

MTSU at Tennessee
7:00pm on FSN

South Carolina at Arkansas
7:15pm on ESPN

UT-Martin at Mississippi State
7:30pm on CSS

LSU at Alabama
8:00pm on CBS

I'm going to miss the Game of the Year because I'll be sitting inside Razorback Stadium watching another HUGE game that day? Awful planning. Could CBS not have had a 3:30 ET game as well?
