2.  Freshman defensive back Glenn Faulker has been academically cleared to play for UK this fall.

6.  This writer takes some jabs at Tennessee’s search committee for not having found a new athletic director yet.

7.  Sophomore receiver Da’Rick Rogers says he’s growing into his role with the Vols.

8.  Yesterday was Fans Day at Vanderbilt.  (Yeah, we know, insert joke here.)

hey John - since you just poked fun at vandy fans how about you do a nice story next. Here are some ideas: the new state of the art locker rooms, the new game day activities, Franklin's pre camp press conference from late last week (that has to be one of the most inspiring things I have ever heard), and how hard it is for Vandy to get postive articles written (or picked up by ESPN, MrSEC, etc) when the local Nashville newspaper doesnt write them. Case in point: the Tennesseean did NOT even announce that the Dore Jam, aka Fan Day, was occuring. They did however announce UT's event in Nashville.

p.s. Franklin's press confernce was so amazing I had my middle school daughter watch it to see how a great coach or teacher can make you feel. I hope you can provide a link to it for other SEC fans to see what Vandy fans are getting excited about.

(Yeah, we know, insert joke here.) That was a bit unprofessional i have come to expect more from you. The Vanderbilt fan base has done nothing to deserve that.

It's called a sense of humor. This site has been very fair towards Vanderbilt... and part of that fairness means we will occasionally poke fun at them as we do the other schools in the league. There's no question that Vandy has the smallest fanbase in the SEC. So suggesting that Vandy's "Fans Day" might be a bit of an oxymoron -- for a throwaway joke -- well, there'll be no apology for that.
