Receiver Croom Says His List Is Down To Two

Wide receiver Jason Croom from Norcross (Ga.) High School will play football in the SEC.

At least, that’s what he said on twitter Monday afternoon.

Brad Locke of the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal replied to Croom on twitter to ask if that means he has narrowed his list of schools to Mississippi State and Tennessee.

“Yes,” Croom replied.

That could change if Georgia offers a scholarship to Croom, who told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution last week that he would like to receive an offer from the Bulldogs. Georgia has commitments from two wide receivers for 2012: C.J. Curry from Flowery Branch, Ga., and Lonnie Outlaw from Georgia Military College.

I like Georgia,” Croom told the AJC. “They run a good offense and it’s close to home. If Georgia offered me and I went there, it would be with someone I know. I would have CJ there and we would push each other to be better.”

Croom had previously listed Miami as one of his top three schools. Arkansas, Auburn, LSU and Florida State are among the other schools to have offered Croom, who said he plans to announce his college choice during the first game of his senior season.
