Vanderbilt Lands Second Commitment For 2012

Linebacker Jacob Sealand from Tucker (Ga.) High School has committed to Vanderbilt.

Sealand chose Vanderbilt over offers from Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Purdue and North Carolina, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“It was the best overall choice anyone could make, especially for myself,” Sealand told the AJC. “I’ve always put education first. I feel like with Vandy, I don’t have to settle for a sub-par education just to join a winning program.”

Sealand is the second prospect to commit to Vanderbilt for 2012. The other is another Georgia prospect – defensive end Tre Griffin from North Cobb High School in Kennesaw.

Here’s a look at Jacob Sealand as a junior in high school. (Beware of heavy rock music with the highlight tape).
