UK To Take Bite Out Of Transylvania In November

The University of Kentucky hasn’t played Lexington’s Transylvania University in basketball since 1911.  But come November, UK and Division III Transy will kickstart their rivalry… 100 years after that last meeting.

Kentucky and Transylvania have agreed to play at Rupp Arena on November 2nd in an exhibition game.  Brian Lane — the coach of the Pioneers — says the game will only help to prepare his team for its season.  “No shock-the-world moment,” he said regarding the possibility of a David versus Goliath upset.

Kudos to both schools for playing to their history.  Fun story.

And if at any point the words “sweet transvestite” popped into your mind while reading this post, you’ve seen “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” a few too many times.
