Wide receiver Corey Smith from Akron, Ohio, has committed to Tennessee.
Smith, who chose the Vols over offers from North Carolina, West Virginia and Illinois, still has to take care of his academics before he arrives at UT.
Smith plans to attend East Mississippi Community College this fall as he tries to become eligible, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel.
Smith is UT’s second commitment for the 2012 class. The first commitment came from running back Imani Cross from Gainesville, Ga.
