Arkansas Leads The SEC In “Milestone Seasons”

The folks at Rivals.com have thumbed through the SEC’s media guides and tallied up the total number of “milestone” seasons for players at each school from 2000 through 2010.

And what is a milestone season?  That would a year in which a player rushed for 1,000 yards… or passed for 3,000 yards… or racked up 1,000 receiving yards.

You can go here to find all of the milestone seasons across the country, but below are those recorded by SEC players over the last 11 years.

No one had more “milestone seasons” than Arkansas in the SEC over the last 11 seasons.  The Hogs recorded 12 such years with 10 coming from 1,000-yard rushers.  See, Arky fans, Houston Nutt’s offense wasn’t all bad.

Vanderbilt — shocking, I know — was the least productive offense.  The Commodores had just 3 “milestone seasons” from 2000 to 2010.
