Bilas: UK Will Need An “Extraordinary Effort”

The folks at ESPN believe Kentucky’s chances against Ohio State in the round of sixteen tomorrow are pretty slim.  Analyst Jay Bilas says the Buckeyes are “the real thing.”

“They’re very, very good.  It would take an extraordinary effort by Kentucky to win that game.”

Asked how many times UK might beat OSU if they played a seven-game series, former coach Fran Fraschilla said he would take the Buckeyes “in five games… maybe six.”

Despite all the gloom, you can expect John Calipari’s team to lace ‘em up just the same.  One player who must continue his late-season improvement is Wildcat big man Josh Harrellson.  Facing super-frosh Jared Sullinger, Harrellson will have to do his part to shut the All-American down.

“He will be a tough matchup,” Harrellson said.  “Hopefully, we’ll double-team or do whatever we can to contain him.”

The talking heads at ESPN, obviously, don’t think that’ll happen.
