Signing Day 2011: The Battle For Georgia

Looking only at 2011 signees/enrollees — and not players who signed in 2010 but are enrolling now — the state of Georgia produced:

3… 5-stars
19… 4-stars
124… 3-stars

Here’s who mined the state’s Top 25 players for signatures:

12… Georgia
3… Auburn
2… Alabama
2… Tennessee
1… California
1… Florida State
1… Georgia Tech
1… Notre Dame
1… Stanford
1… Junior College

State Champion: Georgia

A “Dream Team” Indeed.  The Dawgs landed two of the state’s three 5-star prospects and about half of the Peach State’s Top 25 overall.  The timing of such a class could not have been better for Mark Richt
