SEC Headlines – 2/4/11 Part One

1.  Auburn landed three “potential program-makers” on signing day.

2.  Arkansas’ John Pelphrey took out an ad in the campus newspaper to thank students for their support of his basketball team.

3.  Razorback guard Rickey Scott — who’s missed UA’s last two games — had fluid drained from his knee yesterday.

4.  LSU had a Top 10 signing class… but why didn’t it have the #1 class in the nation?  (Nits are being picked, folks.)

5.  MSU’s Rick Stansbury appears to be the first SEC hoops coach to ban his players from Twitter.  (Which makes him the smartest SEC hoops coach.)

6.  There’s plenty of turmoil surrounding this Mississippi State basketball team.

7.  Ole Miss is asking the NCAA for a sixth year for defensive end Kentrell Lockett.  (Lockett’s season ended with a knee ligament tear in the Rebels’ fourth game.)

8.  UM is also preparing paperwork to request immediate eligibility for quarterback transfer Barry Brunetti.
