SEC Headlines – 2/3/11 Part Three

1.  Kudos for Kentucky’s signing class.

2.  Former UK quarterback Andre Woodson is returning to his alma mater as a student assistant coach.

3.  With a six-man rotation and young players everywhere, the Wildcat basketball team has little margin for error.

4.  Kudos for South Carolina’s signing class.

5.  Carolina is still playing the waiting game for Jadeveon Clowney.

6.  Urban Meyer said on ESPN yesterday that players who drag out their recruitment are holding coaches and programs hostage.

7.  Kudos for Tennessee’s signing class.

8.  Derek Dooley says of his signees: “Now it’s our job to get them here, it’s our job to coach them, it’s our job to mentor them, it’s our job to motivate them, it’s our job to support them academically and hopefully they leave out of here doing some real special things.”

9.  The basketball Vols will face Auburn tonight without injured leading scorer Scotty Hopson.  (Freshman Tobias Harris will likely have his minutes reduced due to an ankle sprain, too.)

10.  Kudos for Vanderbilt’s signing class.

11.  James Franklin and his staff beat out several BCS schools for the guys in their 21-man signing class.  That’s a great, great sign for a group of coaches most SEC fans had never heard of a month ago.
