Under Armour All-American Game Wrap-Up

Four SEC teams were winners on Wednesday night during the Under Armour All-American Game in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee all received commitments during the game, which was won by the Red team when Texas A&M commit Tyler Bertolet kicked a 24-yard game-winning field goal.

Auburn enjoyed the most success during the evening, picking up commitments from athlete Quan Bray from LaGrange, Ga., and defensive back Robenson Therezie from Miami.

“I expect to get on the field early,” said Bray, who also considered Alabama, Georgia and Florida. “That’s why I made the decision. I’m going to play some slot, some running back, everywhere.”

Alabama picked up the first commitment of the night from defensive end Xzavier Dickson from Griffin (Ga.) High School. Dickson, who earlier in the day said he would flip a coin to decide, admitted he didn’t need a coin because he knew he wanted to attend Alabama.

“They just made me feel at home the most,” said Dickson, who also considered Georgia. “I had the same opportunity at both schools. I liked both schools very much. Something inside just told me to go to Bama.”

Defensive back Jabari Gorman told us he will attend Florida. The Miami prospect chose the Gators over Miami and Ohio State.

“I want to be a part of a new program that can win a national championship,” Gorman said during the ESPN broadcast. “That all starts in two weeks.”

Gorman, who is the first commitment for new Florida coach Will Muschamp, is ranked the nation’s eighth-best safety and 85th best prospect overall by ESPN.com.

Tennessee beat out Miami for offensive lineman Marcus Jackson, who was once committed to the Hurricanes. Jackson, who attends Vero Beach (Fla.) High School, will enroll in classes at UT later this month.

I love the coaching staff, and I felt at home there,” Jackson said of the Vols. “The whole football team and staff is like one big family.”
