SEC Headlines – 1/7/11 Part Four

1.  Kentucky’s Danny Trevathan will likely be a hard man to miss during tomorrow’s BBVA Compass Bowl.  (For those of you who don’t intend to miss the BBVA Compass Bowl altogether.)

2.  The linebacker has already received his draft grade from the NFL.

3.  Mr. Everything Randall Cobb might be playing in his final game for Cats tomorrow, too.

4.  Georgia’s recent 7-0 run will be put to the test by John Calipari’s squad tomorrow.

5.  Bruce Pearl will watch tomorrow’s Tennessee-Arkansas game from the team hotel in Fayetteville and will have no contact with his coaches or players during the game.

6.  Pearl said assistant Tony Jones — who’ll take over for him during his SEC suspension – is ready to take the reins.

7.  Jones says he’ll be a bit calmer than Pearl on the bench.

8.  Kevin Stallings wonders if the SEC “just isn’t as good” as it has been in the past.  (Considering all the folks who get mad when media members suggest the SEC is down, it’s amusing to see an SEC coach openly wonder if that’s not the case.)

9.  Vandy forward Darshawn McClellan says his decision to redshirt during his senior year “has been great.”
