SEC Commitment Comparison – 1/12/11

Three weeks from today is national signing day.  No surprise here, but our commitment Big Board is changing quite a bit each day.  The closer we get to signing day, the more commitments — and flip-flops — that will come to light.

Below you’ll find our latest chart on the SEC’s commitments to date.  It’s your best way to compare one SEC school against the others.

We use Rivals’ star rankings and assign a point value of 1 for each star they award to a prospect.  Because we’re softies, we also give 0-star prospects a 1-point grade.

That said, here’s the latest…

Mark lovelady...

Our post is not "wrong!" We say that we use Rivals numbers and it's clear that when we posted the results, they were updated according to Rivals.

When we post Rivals numbers, we always get a few folks who cry because Scout ranks their team higher. If we used Scout, we'd get the same from fans whose teams are ranked higher by Rivals.

Most people use Rivals, so do we. It's just a measure. So try to relax.

It seems like we always get a commit right after you post these so could we maybe get another update, say, Monday? Haha. Not that we have much room left. Gosha commit would take Arkansas to the top of this list (in points and total) but if they'll ever rank Gilbert it would help our average quite a bit. Thanks again for the updates, always good to see this in another format.

Georgia needs to be more aggressive on both sides of the ball. Coaches need to get tougher on the players. Take them out if they are not giving 100% effort.
