Running Back Caffey Commits To Kentucky

Running back Marcus Caffey from Atlanta Grady High School has switched his commitment from Purdue to Kentucky.

“I just thought it was the better fit for me,” Caffey told 247sports.com. “(Kentucky) stayed with me and let me kknow how much they wanted me up there in their program. I got to thinking about how much I liked the coaches, especially Jokey Phillips, and how I already knew some of the players up there. They stayed in touch with me and told me how much they like it there and how comfortable I would be there. It just made me re-think my decision.”

Caffey’s commitment to Purdue came just 12 days ago, but his official visit to Kentucky on Dec. 17 stayed in his mind.

“It was a good visit,” Caffey said. “It made my decision really tough.”

Kentucky has 19 commitments for the class of 2011.
