Maybe he should text former Tennessee DB Dennis Rogan (got cut on July 29) and ask him how leaving early for the NFL worked out? 44 catches for 465 yards and 4 TDs? Those are not very impressive numbers.
Redshirt sophomore receiver Tori Gurley has decided to leave South Carolina early and enter the NFL draft.
“This was the most difficult decision of my life for many reasons,” Gurley said. “My years at the University of South Carolina were the best years of my life. I fulfilled a lifelong dream to play under a Hall of Fame coach in Steve Spurrier and being a part of the Gamecock nation.”
Gurley’s final 2010 numbers were as follows:
44 catches
465 yards
4 touchdowns
Perhaps the 6-5, 230-pound Gurley will make a splash at the NFL Combine, but this move appears to be risky. At best.
