1.  Scapegoat.  It seems UA fired a part-timer for playing “Take the Money and Run” before the Alabama-Auburn game… but a full-time staffer who was in on the decision is still employed.  Stay classy, Alabama.

2.  Alabama defensive back BJ Scott is considering a transfer.

3.  Three bowls are targeting Alabama.

4.  Bama’s basketball team will host South Alabama tonight.

5.  If Auburn doesn’t win the BCS title this year, there’ll be no excuses.

6.  Cam Newton’s great run began with a touchdown against South Carolina.

7.  Tony Barbee liked the effort in AU’s 78-50 win over Georgia Southwestern last night.  Georgia Southwho?

8.  Reports says Arkansas and Bobby Petrino are working on a seven-year contract extension.

9.  John Pelphrey will be looking for more offense against Oklahoma tonight.

21.  Georgia has bought a home game with Florida Atlantic in 2012…  for one millllllion dollars.  (If both coaches are still in place, that game could pit Mark Richt against his old coach, Howard Schnellenberger.)

27.  South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia “should be fine” for the SEC Championship Game.
