Ole Miss Lands Three South Florida Prospects

Many people believe the nation’s best talent comes from South Florida. If that’s the case, Ole Miss just became a much more talented team.

The Rebels received commitments from three South Florida players on Sunday – linebacker Serderius Bryant from Seminole High School in Sanford and defensive backs Gerrod Holliman and Andrew Johnson from Southridge High School in Miami.

Holliman and Johnson made their commitments after a second unofficial visit to Oxford this summer.

“First, when I got off the bus, the atmosphere felt like I was still at home,” Johnson told Rivals.com. “The coaches were fathers to us. The players treated us like brothers, like we were already part of a family.”

Bryant has some work to academically, according to the Mole Press-Register. It reported Bryant will have to improve his score of 16 he received on the ACT.

Still, Bryant is a nice pick up for Ole Miss. He had offers from schools such as Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Wake Forest and Cincinnati.

I had to go with Ole Miss,” Bryant told the Orlando Sentinel. “I love the place. The facilities, everything about the school, man I loved it.”
