Georgia Headlines – 11/19/09

1.  Mark Richt says some games are “shake-your-hand games” and some games are “hug games.”  Auburn was a hug game.

2.  Freshman tight end Orson Charles has become Georgia’s third-leading receiver.

3.  Mike Bobo says his current offensive line has “been very consistent on assignments.”

4.  Junior safety Reshad Jones will seek an evaluation from the NFL of his draft stock.

5.  Jones said he’s currently “50-50″ on leaving school early.

6.  Richt says Kentucky’s Randall Cobb “might be the most talented player in the Southeastern Conference today.”

7.  Richt has told his team that a win over Kentucky might land the Dawgs in Tampa… and a loss could land them in Shreveport.

(Sidenote — The city of Shreveport must like the cash it brings in from the Independence Bowl, because every year the city becomes the town that no one wants to visit for the holidays.  Seriously.  Does the bad pub not cancel out the cash?  That game must mean more for the local economy than most folks think.)

8.  Finally, Israel Troupe wasn’t even supposed to be on the field when he scored on a 50-yard touchdown pass against Auburn.
