Some Mid-Morning Notes

John Adams of The Knoxville News Sentinel has put together a super staff of the SEC’s best football coaches.

Can you say “jinx?”  Alabama long-snapper Ross Wilson has executed 262 straight snaps without a botched attempt.

Auburn tight end Tommy Trott says in Gus Malzahn’s offense the run is used to set up the pass.  In Tony Franklin’s offense, it was just the opposite.

Joe Biddle of The Tennessean provides a preview of Alabama’s 2009 squad.

ESPN.com’s Adam Rittenberg lists Lane Kiffin and Nick Saban among college football’s five biggest villains.

ESPN.com’s Chris Low lists Kiffin and Tim Tebow (and Barack Obama?) among his five biggest college football villains.  Glad he’s not going out of his way to drag his personal politics into a college football list.

Per ESPN’s latest “make a list” directive, Mr. Low has also provided each SEC school’s current nemesis and biggest all-time villain here.

And Tony Barnhart of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution writes that: Alabama’s O-line will be fine, Joe Haden could be a new weapon for Florida’s offense, and former Arkansas QB Mitch Mustain has some very bad timing.
