Georgia News – 7/28/09

Mark Richt met with a thousand Georgia fans at a booster club last night and told them to expect to see several freshmen on the field for the Bulldogs this fall.

That is especially true of skill position players.  “We have declared (that) every skill guy we have, not counting quarterbacks, we plan on playing them.”

Caleb King is Georgia’s starting tailback “going into camp.”

The Bulldogs used a 6-receiver rotation last season.  How deep will they go in ’09?

Richt admitted to watching his words before the gathering of fans.  “You can’t even tell a good joke anymore without it becoming a big stinking deal.”

UPDATE — Here’s a preview of Georgia’s 2009 team from The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
