SEC Meetings: Day Two Wrap, Part Three

Here’s our third bundle of SEC Meetings-related coverage:

Jeff Schultz of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution believes Mike Slive is wasting his time trying to get guys like Urban Meyer, Steve Spurrier, Lane Kiffin and Nick Saban to get along and play nice.

In Destin, Mark Richt was once again asked about whether or not the Georgia-Florida game should be moved from Jacksonville.Ā  “I don’t know the answer to that, and I’m not going to answer any quesions on that because every time I say something it becomes a much bigger deal than it is. … I don’t care where we play the game, quite frankly.”

Tony Barnhart of The AJC provides his own wrap on all of yesterday’s news (over-signing, John Calipari, tougher basketball schedules, etc) and in it he reveals that Nick Saban believes there need to be more teams involved in college football’s national championship race… not just two teams selected by the BCS formula.

On the same day that Slive was telling his football coaches to play nice, seven of the SEC’s basketball coaches (including John Calipari, Billy Donovan and Bruce Pearl) were seen hanging out and swapping stories in a hallway.
