Vandy:  Offensive coordinator Ted Cain says that he’s very happy with his trio of tight ends.

UT:  Jonathan Crompton reacted well when Lane Kiffin surprised him with extra first-string snaps on Tuesday.

UT:  Crompton, who struggled mightily last year, said, “I’m 100% confident in my ability, my arm, my reads and everything.”

UT:  Kiffin went more physical in Tuesday’s practice, still trying to “find out who they are up there.”

UT:  Since the SEC expanded in 1992, Tennessee is the only league school not to play an FCS (Division I-AA) school.  That streak will end with a visit from UT-Martin in 2010.

UGA:  Prince Miller has become the top corner in the Bulldogs’ secondary.

UGA:  Injuries at defensive end have forced Mark Richt to start looking at walk-ons in practice.

UGA:  On offense, Georgia wants to take some of the pressure off of receiver AJ Green.

UGA:  Halfway through spring practice, no one has claimed the starting tailback job.

UGA:  This writer doesn’t believe Damon Evans knows where he’s going to turn next in his coaching search, but one of the guy’s coaching in the NIT’s championship game could figure into the mix.
