USC:  Travis Haney of The Charleston Post and Courier also states emphatically that Horn DID speak with Xavier officials.

USC:  In football news, here’s a list of Carolina’s candidates for preseason honors.

USC:  Steve Spurrier wants Stephen Garcia and his receivers to “throw the ball around a bunch” this summer.

UT:  It sounds like Phillip Fulmer isn’t planning to get too chummy with his replacement.

UT:  The quarterbacks Fulmer left on the roster had “a really horrendous day” in practice yesterday, according to Lane Kiffin.

UT:  Monte Kiffin even joked about having to call off the dogs in his seconday at one point.

UT:  Kiffin the Younger, in an extended radio interview, says that he wasn’t nearly as mouthy in Oakland as he has been in Knoxville… and that’s by design.
