The BCS Isn’t Changing Soon

Tommy Hicks of The Mobile Press-Register has come to the same conclusion that we here at MrSEC did back in December: there won’t be a college football playoff for a long, long time.

John Swofford, the current BCS chairman, doesn’t expect to see any changes to the current post-season set-up.

The bowls will stay in place, the bowls that are currently in the BCS will remain in place, the tv contracts are nailed down.

Even those folks in Utah who believe were hosed by the BCS should actually be happy with it — the ingrates.

In Swofford’s view, without the BCS, Utah wouldn’t even have had a stage to strut their small conference stuff.

Further, has anyone come down with polio since the BCS was created?  I thought not.

Have we fought a civil war in this country since the BCS was conceived?  Aha!

Then it’s pretty clear that the BCS cures what ails, isn’t it?

All hail the BCS.
